We have been active in the processing of lead containing residues from the start. With all the necessary permits and facilities in place, we ensure the safe and efficient treatment of these materials. Using the Top-Submerged Lance (TSL) Ausmelt process, we efficiently smelt lead residues along with lead concentrates at high temperatures. This advanced smelting method allows for optimal metal recovery while minimizing waste and emissions. The result of this process is lead bullion, a semi-pure form of lead that still contains some impurities. To achieve the highest quality, the lead bullion undergoes a refining process where remaining contaminants are removed. Through this purification, lead ingots with high purity levels of 99.99% and 99.97% are produced. These ingots are then ready for use in various industries.
Lead is a highly valuable material for recycling due to its ease of reuse in production and its high recycling rate. It plays a crucial role in various sectors, including renewable energy, automotive, defense, and battery manufacturing. These widespread applications make lead recycling essential for sustainability and resource efficiency. By recovering and refining lead, we contribute to a circular economy and reduce the need for primary lead extraction.
Given the hazardous nature of lead materials, we handle them with the utmost care, following strict safety and environmental regulations to ensure responsible and sustainable processing. To assure a carefree delivery to our clients, we have a special division for the notification of our materials under the Basel Convention. Over the past 30 years, we have grown to receive and treat more than 30,000 tons of lead residues annually.
